Certificate in Phlebotomy Technician Studies

Phlebotomists are technicians who draw blood. The Phlebotomy Technician training program prepares students with a working knowledge of blood collection procedures, techniques, specimen requirements, and proper equipment to perform assigned duties.

Students will learn how to draw blood safely and effectively using venipuncture and capillary puncture methods for adults and children. Proper infection control is also integrated into the curriculum. Anatomy, physiology, and Medical Terminology will also be integrated and taught alongside to ensure students are prepared to be competent members of the workforce.
